WALTS is an interdisciplinary artistic-research collective dedicated to exploring what remains after the moment of art’s public visibility—addressing the social, political, and ecological afterlives of project-based artistic practices. Rooted in a critical engagement with care and sustainability, WALTS develops methodologies to support the ongoing life of art beyond its temporary presentation

WALTS combines research methods, like qualitative research and participatory action research, with artistic interventions and public space platforms. The collective’s work emphasizes fluidity, collaboration, and responsiveness —advocating for an expanded temporality of care that attends to art’s subtle social and environmental reverberations. Composed by Giuliana Marmo and Martin Leibinger.
